What is paint protection film?
Paint protection film (PPF), also called a "clear bra," is a thick, optically clear thermoplastic urethane film applied over your vehicle's paint. It physically absorbs impacts from rocks, road debris and scratches, and its top layer self-heals light swirls with heat. Texas Automotive Care Solutions installs 3M PPF that lasts up to 10 years.

How long does paint protection film last?
Professionally installed 3M paint protection film lasts up to 10 years with normal care.
Can you see paint protection film on the car?
Modern PPF is optically clear. Edges are wrapped or precision-cut so the film is virtually invisible from normal viewing distance.
What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
PPF is a thick urethane film that physically absorbs rock chips and scratches. Ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss, water-beading and chemical resistance. Many owners combine PPF on high-impact areas with ceramic coating over the whole vehicle.
Can you ceramic coat over PPF?
Yes. Ceramic coating can be applied over paint protection film to add gloss and make the film easier to clean.
