Window tint questions, answered
What window tint is legal in Texas?
Front side windows must let in more than 25% of light (25% VLT) with no more than 25% reflectivity. Rear side windows and the back window can be any darkness if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides. The windshield may only have tint above the AS-1 line or the top 5 inches.
How long after tinting can I roll down my windows?
Wait 3–5 days before rolling down freshly tinted windows so the film can fully adhere.
Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone or GPS?
No. Ceramic window film is non-metallic, so it doesn't interfere with cell, GPS, radio or keyless-entry signals.
Is haze or small bubbles normal after tinting?
Yes. Slight haziness or small water pockets are normal while the film cures and typically disappear within a few days to two weeks depending on temperature.
